"He's My Son" by Toni Hoy A story of an adorable little boy who was adopted and was blessed with a wonderful family. The same trauma
that brought him into the foster care system caused him to once again, become a ward of the state. His family loves him unconditionally
and stands by him, come what may.

Daniel remains at the John Costigan Residential Center in Streamwood, IL where he continues to struggle with severe post
traumatic stress disorder. His family visits at least weekly and calls as often as possible.

Please encourage Congress to amend the Adoptive and Safe Families Act of 1997 to mandate states to preserve adoptions
even when the medical needs of the children are intensive and too costly for families to manage. Adoptive children need
their families. Daniel needs his.

"He will not get better without you." Dave Margolis, LCPC, Metropolitan Family Services
